EMPOWERING THE LOCALS
Volcano Day was founded in 2017 by a local guide better known as "Chicharra". His mission was to do what he loves - hike volcanoes - and encourage locals, by showing them that they can also succeed on their own merits.
Volcano Day is the only tour operator in León that's 100% owned by Nicaraguans. We are mostly known for our volcano boarding tours. We're run by a dedicated team of locals, with the help of international volunteers. We aim to be a platform for empowerment of local talent.
WHAT WE DO
We create memories that last a lifetime - we organize volcano boarding, hiking and camping tours, and other outdoor activities, in the NorthWest of Nicaragua - the land of lakes and volcanoes.
